Nationals Today - Bonderman Still available
Bonderman To Sit Out 2011?Jeremy Bonderman, who has not been able to stick with a team, may take the year off. This is pretty surprising when you consider pitchers like Brandon Webb, Chris Young, and Justin Duchschere, all of who have missed significant time in the past three seasons with arm injuries, have found new homes this winter. Bonderman on the other hand stayed healthy last year (171 innings pitched) but was not effective (5.53 ERA). Nevertheless, I'm surprised no one has even taken a chance on him.
Francisco Liriano's Name Comes Up Again In Trade Talk
More chatter has arose out of camp that Francisco Liriano may very well start 2011 in a non-Minnesota Twins uniform. However, it seems the hard throwing lefty is believed to be going to the New York Yankees, not the Washington Nationals. Both teams have been searching for top of the line starting pitching, but the Yankees have more at their disposal to make it happen.
